

Vanes-Mari Du Toit was born 2 August 1989 and was an international Netball Player who has played in the Australia and England Super Leagues. She has 36 caps as a Spar Protea Netball Player, as well as a South African Fast 5 Netball Player with 36 caps.
She completed her BCom Human Resource manangement and Honours in Industrial Psychology.
On 21 December 2017, she married Matt Proudfoot, the Assistant coach of the Springbok Rugby Team.
In early 2018, Vanes-Mari was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars SA. Her dancing partner was Johannes Radebe and they made it as far as the semi-finals.
In 2019, Vanes-Mari joined the Kwela team as a field presenter. She is also the Founder of Proudfit, a sports underwear brand. Vanes-Mari is a Brand Ambassador for a couple of brands and an Influencer of note. She has a passion for giving back to the community and does so through her Charity work. She also hosts netball clinics at both Primary and High Schools and teaches girls not only netball techniques but essential life skills.
Currently she is a presenter on Tops & Tjops and also a SuperSport Netball Commentator.
